Kotebel has been conceived as a long-term project, based on two fundamental principles:
- All resources used in music (form, instruments, melodies, harmonies) must be subornidate to inspiration, which must prevail and be the driving force.
- Progressive Music is a valid vehicle to convey the highest levels of beauty and inspiration. In that respect, it has the same potential as other music genres considered more serious.
Without being constricted to a specific style or genre, Kotebel aims to achieve a convergence between classical or "formal" music and progressive rock. In that respect, it might be more accurate to consider Kotebel as an eclectic project, immersed in the mainstream of progressive music.
